Golden State franchise player Stephen Curry broke his left hand in the third quarter following their loss to the Phoenix Suns on a home game, Wednesday.
Curry collided with Suns center Aron Baynes on a run to the hoop and fell hard on his left arm, this happened when the Warriors are trailing 83-54 in the third quarter.
Curry was seen holding his wrist and was taken to the locker room with 8 minutes left in the third.
The Warriors announced in the fourth quarter that the leading 3-pt shooter Curry broke his left hand and will be out indefinitely.
The two-time NBA Most valuable Player began the season averaging 24 points, 6.7 assists, and five rebounds. While, he contributed nine points, six assists, and five rebounds before he injured his hand in the Suns loss.
Coach Steve Kerr shared his thoughts on the mishap and said, “It’s a great opportunity for these young guys to play,” Golden State coach Steve Kerr said postgame. “It’s also a little bit too much. You want to bring along rookies the best you can. We have no choice with all the injuries. Where we are, we might as well throw them into the frying pan.”
The Suns demolishes Warriors with 121-110 in their first meeting of the season. The go to players for the Suns were baynes with 24 points and 12 rebounds while Saric (16 points), Rubio (14), Cameron Johnson (12) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (11) also scored in double figures.
