Domantas Sabonis accepted Indiana Pacers’ $77 million four-year contract extension.
With this move, Sabonis becomes part of the Indiana’s core along with Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner, and Victor Oladipo.
ESPN reported, Sabonis could accumulate a total of $85 million dollars in his contract, citing information from agent Greg Lawrence.
The 23-year old power forward was acquired from Oklahoma City Thunder two years ago, along with Victor Oladipo in the Paul George trade.
Sabonis contributed 14.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists for the Indiana Pacers last season. He led all NBA bench players with 27 double-doubles and expected to be in the starting lineup this season.
