Authorities rewarded four witnesses for the information they shared that led to the arrest of the suspects connected to the killing of a barangay chairman in Quezon City.
In which, the Quezon City council approved a resolution looking to reward P5 million to those who can provide information on the death of Criselle Beltran.
Acting head Col. Ronnie Montejo of Quezon City police stated that the witness testimonies were essential to the arrest.
Montejo added that he has high hopes that the reward money will persuade others who have knowledge in the crime.
The councilor died in an ambush in Filinvest 2, Quezon City in January.
Beltran was planning to run for congresswoman and authorities are still investigating the motive behind the killing.
