Man gets 15 years in prison for joining terror groups

A gulf national was sentenced 15 years of imprisonment by the State Security of the Federal Supreme Court for joining two terrorist organizations, in Al Nusra Front in Syria, and Al Qaeda.

Convicted at the age of 45, the man was found guilty of intentionally providing funds to the terrorist groups to assist them in executing terrorist scheme.

The man was found guilty violating the Federal Law No. (7) of 2014 and its amendments concerning Combating Terrorism Crimes.

According to Public prosecution, investigations disclosed that he coheres and communicated with members of a banned organization. Moreover, it was revealed that he transferred money to fugitive members.
