Solidum reported that the quake was recorded at Intensity 7 in Tulunan and Makilala, Cotabato; Kidapawan City; and Malungon, Sarangani.

The shaking was also felt in Davao City, Koronadal City, and Cagayan de Oro City which was recorded at Intensity VI. Lastly, Camiguin, Mambajao felt the quake at Intensity I.

Furthermore, Solidum explained that the quake is related to the October 16 Magnitude 6.3 earthquake in Mindanao.

“Because of the length of the fault line, it’s possible that only a portion will move or that other faults nearby will move due to stress,” he said.

Moreover, he denied the possibility of a tsunami since the quake happened in the land, “Walang banta ng tsunami dahil nangyari ito sa kalupaan. Wala pong mangyayaring ganun,” he insisted.

Lastly, director Solidum reminded the public not to use damage buildings.
