Big man Justine Baltazar erupted with 25 points and 25 rebounds in their triumph against National University, 85-61 in the UAAP Season 82 tournament on Sunday.
The double-double machine posted 15 points and 14 rebounds at halftime, with nothing to stop him, he doubled his effort in the end.
The 6-foot-7 center Baltazar was a humble winner for the Chooks-to-Go Collegiate Press Corps UAAP Player of the Week award.
The senior big man worked his way in the offensive department as 10 of his rebounds came from their side.
His monstrous game was appreciated by La Salle head Coach Gian Nazario.
“When was the last time a local had a 25 and 25 in the UAAP? I mean, again, ‘yan ang resulta ng ginagawa ni Balti during practices. He really works hard. He takes care of his body and it shows in the game,” said Nazario.
Baltazar’s epic game happened at the right moment as the team tries to gather more wins in the second round.
He said in a statement that he is thankful for this amazing as he suffered a 4-point game in their last game with University of Santo Tomas.
