Fahad Al Bloushi, a lightweight contender, is in high hopes for his most-awaited professional debut on Friday at the “Rotunda Rumble 2” in Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai.

The Fil-Emirati boxer is determined to make the whole Emirati nation and most especially the Filipino community in the region. “I really worked hard for this, and I hope to make the Filipino community proud too,” said Al Bloushi. Winona Bicodo, the Filipina mother of Al Bloushi traces her roots to Dingle, Iloilo.

Al Bloushi, a late bloomer, only took boxing seriously in 2015 wherein he represented the UAE in the Indonesian Asian Games.

On the other hand, the boxer shared how much he loved the Philippines, “I’ve been to the Philippines like four times. The first time I went was when I was eight years old. The last time was in 2015. I love it there, lovely people.”

Among one of UAE active pro boxers, Al Bloushi has showed enthusiasm following the debut, “I’m excited to get in that ring,” Al Bloushi said.

“I’m thankful that I’m turning pro the right way which is in my hometown. I’m ready to put on a show,” he added.

Al Bloushi is locked in on his goals as a professional boxer and said “My short term goal is to be the first Emirati to win a world title belt. For long term? To be undisputed in two weight divisions.”
