The National Festival for Tolerance and Human Fraternity will launch its second edition from November 8 to 16, Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, announced in the capital on Sunday.

The festival will be celebrated under the slogan “Following the Way of Zayed” to mark the heritage of tolerance established by the late Founding Father Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Nahyan said the festival will organize at least 150 events and initiative in partnership with more than 100 ministries and federal, local, and private entities. The organizers plan activities related to tolerance for more than 25 embassies through cultural, heritage, and artistic shows. The festival will be held on the pavilion of Umm Al Emarat Park in Abu Dhabi.

Moreover, 1,000 Innovations, a developmental initiative for visual arts and writing, will be launched in the Festival to promote tolerance among different groups to maximize the reach.

On the other hand, Nahyan explained that the addition of “Human Fraternity” targets to showcase the Human Fraternity Document for World Peace and Co-existence, which was signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al Azhar Sheikh Ahmen EL-Tayyeb in Abu Dhabi last February.
