Dubai has established its name as one of the highly sought after destination for yacht enthusiasts in the recent Monaco Yacht Show at Port Hercules on Friday.
Al Muallem, the city host for Expo 2020, announced that Dubai is hosting International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) World Marinas Conference in October 2020. Muallem is also conducting a series of nautical events and conferences including the Abu Dhabi Boat Show this coming winter, the Middle East Yachting Conference, and other shows in March 2020.
Together with P&O Marinas, a DP World company, they have reinforced Dubai as a well-acknowledged name in leisure sailing, through its strategic participation led by Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Group Chairman and CEO, DP World.
“The Monaco Yacht Show is where industry influencers gather and provides the perfect opportunity for P&O Marinas to showcase our efforts to bolster the UAE and Gulf Riviera as a new luxury destination for the world’s yachting enthusiasts. Our vision of ‘Connecting Cities to the Seas’ resonates with the overarching purpose of the Monaco Yacht Show and we believe the presence of P&O Marinas will shed light on the connectivity of the Mediterranean and the Gulf in this domain”, Mohammed Abdul Aziz Al Mannai CEO of P&O Marinas and Executive Director Mina Rashid said.
These developments seek to support Dubai to be one of the most visited cities in the world.
