Dh4.4 billion for the UAE’s National Railway Project

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, looked at the progress of the UAE’s national railway project on September 29, 2019.

“Today, I met with Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of Abu Dhabi’s Executive Council and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etihad Rail, and discussed the progress of the UAE’s national railway network project,” the Chairman said.

The billion dollar project is on set to connect the seven emirates of the UAE and improve the connectivity with the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) road network as discussed in the meeting.

According to the Sheikh Hamdan, “This mega-project’s ambitious aims will have a substantial developmental impact on both local and regional fronts. The 2nd phase of the project will connect Abu Dhabi with Dubai, with a total investment of Dh4.4 billion”

Sheikh Hamdan compliments Etihad Rail’s effort to make the UAE’s vision in transforming the transportation in the country world class.
