Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service chief Alfegar Triambulo claimed that 30 percent of their recommendations involving PNP red flag members was addressed last year.
Triambulo insisted that the risks IAS personnel are taking as PNP watchdogs results to nothing.
On the other hand, PBA party-list Representative Jericho Nograles filed a bill seeking to separate the IAS from the PNP.
House Bill 3065 seeks to avoid high-ranking officials in the force from intervening investigations or cases involving PNP members. The IAS expressed its support for the proposed bill.
Furthermore, the chief is looking forward that IAS should be merged with National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM).
“Napakagulo kasi ng ating sistema sa pagdisiplina ng ating kapulisan, marami yung nagdidisiplina pero hindi pa rin epektibo ang makinarya ng pagdidisiplina,” he said.
