Filipinos set to conquer “The Land of the Rising Sun” in ONE: Century, the 100th offering of Singapore-based MMA group ONE Championship in Tokyo, October 13, Sunday.
Brandon Vera leads the way for Filipino fighters, as the ONE heavyweight world champion Vera prepares for the 102.1-kilogram division for the first time in his ONE career.
Vera will face 2-division champion Aung La N Sang of Myanmar for the ONE light heavyweight world championship.
The reigning middleweight and light heavyweight king, N Sang, is truly a challenge for the 42-year old Filipino champion as the two will face-off on the second half of the two-part mega card.
Meanwhile, the co-main event will feature Filipino martial artist Kevin Belingon of Team Lakay, he has unfinished business as he looks to reclaim the ONE bantamweight world title against long-time foe and reigning champion Bibiano Fernandes of Brazil.
Belingon and Fernandes will face against each other for the fourth time, with their recent match ending with a controversy after Belingon shots to the head that led him to be disqualified.
Furthermore, Honorio Banario, former ONE featherweight world champion, looks to end his two consecutive defeats when he battles against Japanese MMA fighter, Shinya Aoki.
Lastly, Filipino rising star Danny Kingad of Team Lakay, will be tested against the American MMA star and former Ultimate Fighting Championship Flyweight World Champion Demetrious Johnson in the finals of the ONE flyweight World Grand Prix.
