Safe nurturing, Loving care, Enriching activities, Stimulating learning environments, Well-trained teachers, and Age appropriate activities – all this and more under one name:
The Laurel Nursery
The Laurel Nursery is committed to creating an engaging, safe, positive environment that meets the needs of each child. In order for a child to learn, the child needs to feel cared for and secure. A child is capable of spending time away from parents and building trusting relationships with adults outside the family. We, at The Laurel Nursery, offer a high-quality preschool program, which nurtures warm relationships among children, teachers and parents.
Our programs are designed to promote and encourage each child’s intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. The activities, lessons, environment and staff provide cover and enable a variety of positive learning experiences, which include music, literature, language arts, social interaction and creativity. We also strive to instill in each child a positive self-image and a desire to develop healthy relationships that are so vital to a child’s development.
The children’s sense of competence and self-worth grow as they learn to take care of themselves and help others. Teachers help the young children engage in “real work” by offering them chances to help out in the classroom, for example, by setting the table at snack time or helping in clean up time.
We provide a strong platform where our children will experience hands-on learning and along with tender loving care help them achieve their utmost potential. Children’s cognitive skills are strengthened by engaging them in a wide range of hands-on activities that challenge them to observe closely, ask questions or solve a problem.
Preschool-age children have active imaginations and learn through make-believe plays. But imagination also fuels learning. Pretend play, is an important part of the learning that takes place at The Laurel Nursery on a weekly basis.
The imaginary play area at The Laurel Nursery is well-stocked with costumes, props, and child-size household items such as stoves, sinks and cupboards. It’s often in this activity area that preschool-age children progress steadily from solitary play, to one-on-one play, to group play.
The Laurel Nursery Administration, Teachers and all other staff have been trained to provide the best care. Besides being well qualified and experienced they are also trustworthy, loving and dependable.
