DUBAI – The top official of Niantic promised to add “some other features people have been asking about” later this year for their augmented reality game Pokémon Go.
John Hanke, CEO of Niantic and creator of Pokémon Go, has finally addressed last month one of the most requested features by introducing the ability to trade Pokémon with other players.
Hanke, however, did not mention in a cnet.com report if they are going to address the most popular request: battle against each other with their Pokémon. The game only lets players to go to a local “gym” where they can battle a designated player.
He also did not reveal any details as to what is next with the augmented reality game but he noted that they will be launching some “other projects that we are not quite ready to talk about.”
Pokémon Go was a breakaway hit last year. It is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices.
