Panasonic is known for producing quality cameras in the market. Recently, the firm has released the Lumix FZ80 in the Gulf market.
As expected, it packs a powerful optical zoom and superior controllability.
Having 60x zoom lens, the device brings with it a new higher-resolution image sensor, new processor and a bevy of new features including 4K UHD video recording.
Just like its predecessor, FZ80 sports 60x optical zoom range which means it’s not a compact one.
It’s 5.1 x 3.7 x 4.7 inches and it weigh 21.7 ounces with battery.
Using this device for a week now, the controls are surprisingly good and the touchscreen interface performs nicely.
It features 18.1-megapixels camera resulting to a more vivid outcome.
It manages to fill up in a 60x optical zoom, which provides a very broad focal range of 20-1200mm, so perfect for squeezing loads into the frame or zooming into one’s subject.
Its ISO runs from 80 to 3200, so in low-light conditions, one almost certainly need to use the built-in optical image stabilization, or, for longer exposure/slower shutter speeds, mount the camera on a tripod.
Speaking about the 4K photo, FZ80 allows one to capture a burst of 30 frames per second at 4K resolution which is 2840 x 2160 pixels, from which one can extract an 8mp image.
What I like about the 4K burst is it’s best for fast-moving subjects. Here, you press and hold the shutter button to capture a sequence of images.
The camera is very perfect for those who frequently travel as provides smooth 4K video capturing.
Moreover, features like the built-in Wi-Fi enables users to share and download pictures in a hassle free manner marking it an ideal choice for any discerning socially-active photographer.
