DUBAI – The Southern Franchise Company (SFC) Plus is set to open four new outlets in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by the end of this year.
The new outlets will be an addition to its 26 outlets serving comfort food across the emirates.
Kesavan Muraleedharan, chairman and managing director of SFC Group, said that one of its new locations will be in Karama, Dubai, while the other two locations will be in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
The location for the fourth outlet, Muraleedharan said, is still in the process of finalization, but assured that it will also be opened this year.
Muraleedharan added that they are planning to put up 25 new outlets in the country in the next four years.
Aside from the new locations, the food chain now has their own official mascot called Captain Cluck who will be the face of SFC Plus.
The new mascot was unveiled at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dubai on Tuesday, July 12.
Every month, the SFC Chairman mentioned that new dishes are added to their menu – which already has their popular skinless fried chicken, freshly baked pizzas, burgers, sandwiches to fresh salads – to further cater their customers’ taste buds.
Muraleedharan said that in 1993, when the first SFC Plus outlet opened in Abu Dhabi, he personally travelled to the Philippines to recruit his first set of staff.
“I recruited people from the Philippines, and because of their hard work and effort, I have become where I am today. I really appreciate that,” he said, noting that 80 percent of SFC Plus staff are Filipinos.
